Note that the Napoleonic army is getting ready to fight again! This time, however, in the form of chess pieces. The majestic and stately mount commemorates Marengo - Napoleon's famous horse named after the victorious Battle of Marengo. The towers, slender and tall, are also distinctive. Only the jumper is bulky in this set, the other pieces look rather airy and delicate. The black pieces are made of red paducah and the white ones of boxwood.
