DGT Official FIDE set unweighted
They were used for the first time during The World Championship Match 2013 in Chennai India between Magnus Carlsen and Vishy Anand.
The official set was designed by Daniel Weil, famous architect and designer from Pentagram studio in London. The appearance of pieces connect the tradition with modernity. It is relied on the ancient Greece architecture proportions and immortal Staunton style. The white pieces have been made of boxwood, the black ones instead of precous ebony.
Two additional queens are included.
