QUESTIONS BEFORE WE INTEGRATE YOUR SHOP:
· What is your store website address?
· What platform do online shop use (Woo commerce, Shopify etc)?
· Are you going to sell on marketplaces such as Amazon, Emag, Cdiscount etc or directly through your website?
· Please send us contact to a person responsible for IT in your company so we can easily solve any technical doubts together.
SET UP TRADE ACCOUNT
Please send us your business details (full business name for invoicing, address, delivery address (if different), postal code, town, country, contact phone no, email address, your webstore address and short description of your activity.
To start cooperation, we require your valid EU VAT number. This is necessary for your invoices to include the preferential 0% VAT rate.
If you do not have an active EU VAT number, cooperation is still possible, but your orders will be subject to local VAT. This is a legal requirement, so we strongly encourage you to register for EU VAT.
INTEGRATION
We will connect our sales system with your store via API so that everything works automatically. The API allows integration with most common store platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, and many more. In the Questions and Answers section you can find the full list of supported platforms (around 75 in total).
Once connected, our stock levels, purchase prices, and product descriptions will be automatically synchronized with your store together with the product list (around 1,000 chess products plus about 700 chess book titles). Stock levels are updated every hour, ensuring that items you sell are always available. During peak season we aim to update even more frequently.
If you prefer, we can provide a fallback option: an automatically generated CSV/XLS file for importing products into your store. With this solution, which is less modern, you will need to manually enter your orders into our system.
We strongly recommend API integration because it provides full automation of orders, stock levels, and pricing. However, it is not mandatory.
PRICING
After your account is created, we will provide you with a wholesale price list. You are free to decide your own retail prices.
Together with the price list you will receive a shipping table containing details about weight/country thresholds and delivery times. Average EU delivery time is 2–3 working days.
PAYMENT AND INVOICING
At the beginning of our cooperation, each order must be prepaid. This is simple – our system will generate and send you a payment link. Once payment is received, the order will be shipped immediately.
After the first 50 orders, we will grant you trade credit. From then on, we will issue collective invoices every 14 days, with a 7-day payment term. If payments are made on time, we will gradually introduce further simplifications to make the process easier for you.
Please understand that this process is necessary in today’s business environment to ensure both sides can rely on the quality of services and on each other’s credibility.
START SELLING
Customers buy products directly from your store.
All orders automatically flow into our system, regardless of which platform they come from. This process is fully automated if we are connected through the API.
If you use the CSV/XLS file, you will need to manually place each order from your shop through our website. In this case, we recommend reading our CSV/XLS tutorial.
ORDER PROCESSING AND FULFILLMENT
- Customer orders appear automatically in our system (API integration).
- You pay only the wholesale price.
- We pack and ship the order directly to your customer (without invoices).
- As the producer, we use many different boxes with our own barcodes. For this reason, blind shipping is not possible. However, we will NEVER include any bills or documents in the package.
SHIPPING & TRACKING
Our system generates tracking numbers. Through the API, your system will receive them automatically, so you can pass them on to your customers.
We mainly use UPS, DHL, and GLS for EU deliveries.
Average EU delivery time is 2–3 working days (e.g., Germany 2 days; France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Denmark 3 days).
Cut-off time:
- Orders placed before 13:00 are shipped the same day.
- Orders placed after 13:00 are shipped the next business day (D+1).
CUSTOMER SERVICE & RETURNS
You remain the first point of contact for your customers. We are always ready to support you in after-sales service. Our approach is customer-oriented, and you can be sure we will do our best to help.
Quality goals: 100% order picking accuracy.
It is not required, but we suggest using Base.com software, which helps manage returns, complaints, and refunds through automated workflows.

Trade Account & VAT
Q: What do I need to open a trade account?
A: Send us your business details (company name, address, VAT no., contact info, webstore address, activity description).
Q: Do I need an EU VAT number?
A: Yes, for 0% VAT invoices. Without it, we must charge local VAT.
Integration
Q: How does integration work?
A: We connect via API (Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, +70 others). This syncs stock availability and data automatically while products and descriptions are available through CSV/XML file.
If your web shop runs on Shopify or WooCommerce have features to automatically import all products data.
Q: Can I avoid API and work on CSV/XLS file only?
A: Yes, you can use a CSV/XLS file , but then you must place orders manually in our webshop .

Q: Who handles customer service?
A: You are the first contact, but we provide full support.
Q: How about returns/complaints?
A: You manage them, but we automate the process of return and/or resend goods. All depends on your web shop engine.
Q: What if a product arrives damaged?
A: Contact us immediately. We will try to solve problem imidiatelly.
Stock & Inventory
Q: How often is stock information updated?
A: Every hour (API, CSV, XML). During peak season, even more frequently.
Q: Can I oversell an item that’s out of stock?
A: Our system minimizes this risk, but in rare cases, overselling may occur. We aim on 99.99% stock accuracy so it is not likely to happen. We will notify you and propose alternatives.
Marketing & Branding
Q: Do you provide product photos and descriptions?
A: Yes, if you use Shopify or WooCommerce it is an automated process, in other cases it is very easy through the XML/CSV file (which contains all products data and links to the photos). You may use and edit descriptions and titles, and set your own images if you prefer. We provide all marketing material for free.
Q: Can I use Sunrise Chess & Games branding?
A: Yes, it will bring you even more customers since Sunrise Chess & Games is well know brand in the chess industry and well ranked by google. We will provide all data and images if necessary (for free).
Cooperation & Growth
Q: How does Sunrise support new partners?
A: We provide technical guidance for integration, stock and logistics support, and ongoing advice for store growth.
Q: Is there a minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
A: No. You can sell single items through dropshipping without stock investment.
Q: What happens if I stop selling?
A: Your account remains active. You can return anytime without extra fees.
