Note that the Napoleonic army is getting ready to fight again! This time, however, in the form of chess pieces. The majestic and stately mount commemorates Marengo - Napoleon's famous horse named after the victorious Battle of Marengo. The towers, slender and tall, are also distinctive. Only the jumper is bulky in this set; the other pieces look rather airy and delicate. The black pieces are made of precious ebony and the white ones of boxwood.
